Charlotte Makes Photos

A girl and her cameras 💜

Amidst a bit of a pernicious springtime malaise, Ottawa often being somewhat sleepy during that transition period between final exams in the universities and summertime1, and my being out of commission for bottom surgery, it had been quite a long time since Kathleen and I had a “proper” Saturday adventure.

So when I saw on Instagram that Next Door was hosting its annual Queer Market, we decided that it would make for an excellent adventure. We attended last year and had a nice time and I still use the tote that I purchased from on their vendors last year.

Instead of taking the 14 there, however, we decided that the weather was nice and we’d take a slow sunny walk there — stopping in at Ten Toes on Somerset, where we lingered a little over an iced tea (Kathleen) and iced maple soy latte (me).

The market was lovely, but as it was getting closer to lunch, I suggested that instead of turning around and going home, that we continue on into Hintonburg, shop a little, and perhaps enjoy a little lunchy-boo.

Which we did… đŸĨĒđŸĻ

  1. While all are welcome, many of the events that Kathleen and I enjoy are put on by and for people in their 20s. Or, if nothing else, I, at ▇▇ years old, often find myself on the right side of the event’s age distribution. ↊ī¸Ž
