As you might be able to tell, I haven’t exactly picked up the pace in making photos this fall.

It’s fine, I shouldn’t push myself too much.

This past Friday, I decided to load a roll of XP2 Super into my Nikon EM and take a little turn about the neighbourhood before picking up a few necessities.

The photos above will be quite familiar, but it was nice to get out and enjoy the weather.

Every fall, Kathleen and I take a leisurely stroll through Pine Hill in Rockcliffe Park. We both take the opportunity to make photos of fall textures (it’s not the most colourful stand of trees) and she gets to see many of the neighbourhood’s dogs running about.

I will have a bit more on that with the next roll!

While developing this roll, I actually made a bit of a booboo for the first time with C-41. I normally do my developing at the kitchen sink and look out the window from our apartment.

While rinsing after the stop bath, I was distracted by a can collector with a mighty large load walking down the middle of the street below. Once the rinse was complete, I absentmindedly opened the funnel portion of my tank as if the whole development process was finished only to realize that no, it most definitely was not, and I quickly closed it back up and locked it.

In the end, while it does seem like the negatives were a little bit fogged, I was able to get some usable scans. I’ll have to remember not to allow myself to fall into such a trance!
