Okay, so maybe the chemistry is fine after all. With my last roll of ECN-2 film a bit of a disappointment, I wasn’t entirely keen to keep going with the kit I had mixed up.
After turning its proverbial portrait away from me and thinking about it sporadically over a few days, the “what if?” of it all got the best of me, and I decided to sacrifice a roll of Gold to see whether or not the disappointment would remain.
…and it turns out that, no, it didn’t. When I pulled the roll out of the tank of Thursday evening — much to my delight — it was fine! The photos themselves aren’t entirely interesting, but test rolls rarely are. And besides, I’m in need of a change in scenery.
Which I will get in under one week’s time, when we board a train to Montréal…
