…so it turned out that I wasn’t quite ready on Saturday to stay inside. Once I finished finished lunch, I noticed that my feet got really itchy. A problem for which there is only one source of relief: I needed to get myself outside again.
Besides, I was to make some vegan “egg” salad sandwiches on Sunday1 and needed some Kala namak (black salt) to complete the recipe. …and maybe pick up a few more cans of cat food so that we wouldn’t have to rush out during the busiest part of the week.
I am not quite finished with becoming more accustomed to the wider-angle lens, so the Nikkormat with the 24mm Nikkor-N.C. came with me. To me, this less about developing an eye for the wider lens in the same way I do for a 50mm or an 85mm, and more about becoming more comfortable with being close to the subject.
It might not be much of a surprise that I tend to be a little more on the shy side, so the camera has been a wonderful intermediary. Even if what I’m getting closer to is almost entirely inanimate!
