That’s right: we had both weekend days! The sun was sure a welcome presence on a Sunday morning, so we were quite happy to take advantage of it.

Of course, the real cause of our later-in-the-day Sunday adventure wasn’t the sun: it’s that we needed a few things at NuGrocery in Old Ottawa East, which didn’t exactly facilitate an early bird appearance.

After picking up our things there, we decided that a nice warm beverage at Happy Goat was called for (me: decaf oat maple latte, her: oat London Fog), and we took a walk across the Flora bridge, back up through The Glebe, and to the Isabella Loblaws for our groceries.

It was a lovely little walk and while we didn’t get home until after noon (gasp!), but I quickly turned it into a cooking day, with lunch (‘chick’n’ salad sandwich and salad!), using up Sautruday’s leftover sourdough (croutons!), making office day breakfasts (‘egg’n’cheese’ sandwiches!), and dinner (miso spaghetti).

You sure can pack a whole lot into a Sunday!
