Why?
Because Spring is here! The Spring that is about to explode with colour. The trees well-and-truly awaken and the view from my balcony goes from brown-and-sticks to bright treen to deep green in what feels like two or three weeks.
…and even more to my delight, the flowers! The flowers! From the beds planted by people in their yards, to the National Capital Commission’s work along the canal and in parks.. wonderful. Even better than that for me, are the blossoming trees! Magnolias, crab apple, apple, plum, it’s just such a beautiful time!
(I won’t even go on at length about how we’re on our way to more comfortable temperatures. This freezing lady needs more seasonal warmth!)
So then, I’m now on notice: between now and my June 1st surgery in Montréal, I will get to mix some E6 chemistry and there will be so many slide photos of flowers and greenery and nature on here that, well, I don’t think you can get too tired of them, so this will just be a much more delightful page to visit!
Sunday Morning
While Kathleen is still away to support her family (she will return on Tuesday), I had sort of rearranged the weekend to take advantage of the weather. Saturday’s crummy weather and less-than-sunny mood on my part meant that it was better for me to use that day for chores and errands, leaving Sunday (which brought glorious weather) for fun!
I made this roll in the morning while out on my errands (i.e. groceries). The afternoon would promise more photos and, delightfully, a visit to the National Arts Centre for a craft market.
