Without an adventure planned, our Saturday was mostly dedicated to running errands to ensure we had what we needed for the long weekend and in advance of my little visit to Toronto on Monday. …and as I wrote yesterday, I wanted to test a fresh batch of C-41 I mixed up so that I would not face any unpleasant surprises when I got back.
To make that latter part a little more interesting – and because we started the day bright and sunny – I suggested that we take a little walk through Sandy Hill for a change of scenery. We would, of course, stop in at the Happy Goat on Wilbrod for a nice little beverage. We weren’t exactly in any rush!
As luck would have it, a heavy shelf of clouds came over to stay just as we had dressed to leave the apartment, making for my chosen combination of film and lens a bit of a challenge. Between a slower film and a lens that gets soft wide open, I ended up with a number of frames with quite a bit of shake.
Fortunately, that doesn’t really matter!
My goal was to confirm that my chemistry works well (it does), for us to get out for a bit (we did), to have a nice little hot beverage (me: lavender oat latte, Kathleen: oat London Fog), and for us to make sure we have what we need for the long weekend (we do).
All-in-all, a lovely little Saturday ☺️
