Atone in the Midtone Zone

…and as quickly as I celebrated Friday’s sunshine, nature, always finding a way, decided that I was overstimulated and had quite enough Vitamin D for the next while.

In other words, when I woke up on Saturday morning, we were back to our secular winter default of heavy overcast and snow of varying weights and accumulations.

Of course, I was not going to leave the house without a camera. I don’t even know if that’s possible for me, and, let’s be honest, I don’t actually want to find out!

We really had one goal yesterday: to get a little walk in and to pick up some lunch at Falafel Scoop, which had caught my attention recently for it reputedly having a great vegan selection.

We still don’t know, unfortunately.

Although their website reports hours of 10am to 10pm, it turns out that it’s likely that someone has lost the password or forgotten that the website exists and that Google Maps has their hours as *11am* to 10pm.

Having shown up at 10:45 as we did, and not yet knowing what the issue was (late? family emergency? power troubles?), we decided that we’d visit the grocery store after all and pick up some lunch. A pair of salads most definitely did not answer the falafel’s call, so we will make sure to pass at another time and give them a try!
