“Those Are The Rules, I Don’t Make Them!”

Written by

I’ve made no secret of the fact that I would love more sun in the winter. We see too little of the daystar in a season that is defined by snowvercast skies, so when they sun’s out, if I am not at work, I am out with it.

There is a downside.

There is a rule.

If it’s sunny in the winter, it’s also cold. Colder than when there are clouds.

So yesterday morning when we left the apartment, it was -28C (-18F). Not quite Prairies cold, but frigid by any standard.

Celebrating the daystar’s arrival comes at a cost and we gladly paid it!

As for that double-exposure in the first frame above: it was not intentional. For whatever reason, the camera was not able to transport the film past the third frame, rewound, and I tried again sans lens cap.
