I have many little goals that I’d like to accomplish in 2026, and among them is to get a little better with wider-angle lenses. If you’ve been reading this blog long enough, it is probably obvious that I’m most comfortable with 50mm lenses (or equivalent: like 75/80mm on 120) and quite enjoy portrait lengths, like 85mm. It is not all that often I use a wider-angle lens!
I’d like to change that. As a little motivator, I recently ordered a 24mm Nikkor-N.C. for the Nikkormat. Although I already have a 28mm Nikkor-H and a 35mm Nikkor-O, I felt that something new might be a little more motivating!
And I suppose that it was. In spite of the ongoing overcast and bitter cold, I loaded a roll of Tri-X to bring with me as Kathleen and I made our way around the neighbourhood to run a few errands ahead of New Years Day.

I certainly could use more practice!
Happy New Year!!!
