I wasn’t so sure at first that I wanted to bring a camera with me to last Sunday’s (Oct. 18) edition of Art Books and Beats with CPI at Fono. It’s just nice to be there with the great music, the lovely array of books that we enjoy, all while sipping on a mocktail or two.

…buuuut me being me, I couldn’t help myself and ended up loading a long-expired roll of Ektachrome into the Pearl and stuffing it in my purse on the way out. Sure, we were losing sunlight quickly (it is a darker time of year), but I figured I’d take the risk and see what I’d get.
Sure, it wasn’t a success: four of the six frames are above, but it was fun to see how I would manage all the same. Besides, the real fun was in browsing the art books. This time, it was one about brutalist architecture, and another of Yayoi Kusama’s work over the years.

Since Monday is my work-from-home day, I took a little walk around the neighbourhood while doing my post-work errands and finished the roll then.
