When I woke up on Saturday morning, I was feeling pretty good. I didn’t know that I would: I’ve often needed to take a good rest after getting out for a longer time and since we were at Vegans Who Snack on Friday afternoon, I wasn’t certain whether or not my body would want more rest.
Happily, I didn’t! So when I finished up breakfast and my morning lay down, I said that I was feeling pretty energetic and that maybe we should go on another longer adventure1 that day. Kathleen mentioned that another edition of 613flea was going and that it might not be so bad if we found ourselves more vegan goodies… 🫢
So we popped in to Happy Goat to get ourselves some nice beverages and proceeded to walk down our usual route toward Lansdowne in The Glebe, and I was, of course, making photos all along the way. That’s just what happens when I’m out: while I’ll sometimes say something about making a photo, since it happens so often, I’ll often just stop and make one. It’s not entirely unlike my habits when I was really young. Now where did she go?
We were happy to see that there was a little bit of a rotation at the bi-weekly flea market, but that the regulars we were hoping for were there too. Kathleen got herself an interesting, sort of spooky, ring, and I a pair of beaded hoop earrings. As for the treats? Well, we visited the Franberry table, from which we purchased two cookies and breakfast granola for Kathleen, and Oneigiri or Two, for some of their delicious miso tofu onigiri.
Since it began to rain, we had to linger for a bit, but afterward, we made our way back home, stopping for a few groceries to make that evening’s dinner.
