This past Tuesday marked exactly three weeks since my surgery in Montréal and three weeks and one day since I had made any film photos. Normally, I might go a day or two without. It’s a fairly strong urge!
Between the expected limitations that recovering from major surgery comes with (I still can’t stand for much more than an hour at a time and while it’s almost healed, a bed sore I had acquired means that I still can’t sit either) and management of the healing process, my ability to get out and make photos has been limited and most of my waking hours have been pretty well spoken for!
Still, I knew that I needed to get outside a little and this time, I had to make photos. It didn’t really matter if they were any good, interesting, or novel, so I slowly made my way along a very short little route around the neighbourhood immediately around my apartment.
Slowly but surely, life’s puzzle pieces are beginning to be fit back together.
