To the Distillery and Back

Written by

Once we were finished with the Bata Shoe Museum, we decided that we would pay a little visit to the Distillery District. I had only been once before (in the off season) and Kathleen had never been.

I think the walk to and from the area was probably the best part of it. On balance, while the atmosphere was neat, the people who warned me that it was a bit, uhh, touristy were right. Or at least that reflects the experience we had while there. Hot, odd, and the businesses seemed optimized for throughput more than those anywhere else in the city.

A place people are expected to move through.
