Vacation Time: Atlantic Adventures, September 19, 2024

Thursday would be our last day in town and given that neither I nor Kathleen had ever seen Peggy’s Cove, we decided that it would be a fun little day trip to close off our vacation.

Apparently, so did each and every visitor to the Halifax area!

The crowds were thick, traffic high, and tour buses idling away.

It was still quite a lovely visit and – save for the crowds – exactly what we expected from the long-popular tourist site.

Unfortunately, while the three rolls I exposed were well-developed by the lab, there is something about them that make them a complete bear to scan. Neither the labs scans nor the ones I replaced them with using the Plustek and the V600 produced the results I was seeking.

In many of the frames, right along the top, the sky’s cloudy gradient – no matter what I have attempted – went full bright white, giving an obnoxious-to-me white strip along the top of the frame. I’m not sharing the worst offenders, but photos from the first two rolls above show it.
