By Tuesday, my mom had healed well enough from a procedure that she was able to join us for one of our adventures. She wanted to see Halifax Public Gardens and we also suggested seeing the North End, a neighbourhood we always make sure visit when we’re in town. It was going to be a bit of a longer adventure, and we had hoped to have a nice lunch in the Hydrostone.

About mid-morning, Kathleen and I met her at her condo in Downtown Dartmouth. Although she had owned it for about two years, we had not yet seen it. We then proceeded to Cafe Marco Polo for a coffee (tea for Kathleen!) and a little loop around the immediate area to pass a little time before we boarded the ferry (into the town).
