Every year, Kathleen and I make a trip to Halifax. She’s a Dartmouth girl and my mom moved there two years ago to retire, so it’s a family visit as much as a vacation in a very lovely part of the country. Last year’s vacation was the week of September 14 to the 19th, and it was a very nice week indeed.

I normally like to spend a little time in the sort of nature trail area of the Forest Hills neighbourhood after we land. It’s where Kathleen grew up and it’s a nice way to stretch our legs after a flight. The photos are rarely anything to write home about, but it’s a nice way to open up my photographic mind!
