After a break to cool down and freshen up, we had dinner with friends at a pretty tasty ramen restaurant. Sure, it was still really hot. And sure, the restaurant’s air conditioning was not working, but it was such a nice visit, that all discomforts were easily ignored.

We ended up back at the hotel much later than us two early birds would normally be, but it was vacation! There are no rules!

Except for the iron laws of us waking up and getting out early as a matter of habit. We had all sorts of shops to visit along Queen West and an entire day to do so.

We learned a valuable lesson that day: that the early bird(s) get very few worms if the stores aren’t open yet…
