If most of this roll can be said to have a theme, it’s waiting. Not in anticipation or anything like that, but rather for Metro Transit vehicles to show up during the somewhat spartan Sunday service.

It was a real taste of home.

Finished with our downtown zig-zag, we arrived at the ferry terminal just in time to see it off across the harbour without us aboard.

Once we did cross on the next one, we got to spend quality time at the Alderney Landing stop waiting for our bus to arrive while we listened to two men have a friendly-but-strained argument over the existence or non-existence of god. While it eventually arrived (15 minutes late. Delays at Bridge Terminal), the two men also boarded the bus and continued their discussion a few seats away.

Thanks to this bus being quite late, we missed our connection and faced a 42 minute wait for our bus at the somewhat isolated Portland Hills Terminal. Not wanting to wait that long, we decided to take another bus that would snake through another subdivision and walk the difference from Cole Harbour Road.

While it was all an exhausting and irritating way to get back from our afternoon, it all soon faded and we relished the lovely time we had.
