Monday marked the beginning of three weeks of vacation and I thought what better way to begin than a little walk, a seasonal beverage, and a little browse at some books!
So off I headed (dressing a little better for the occasion) for Old Ottawa South to make a few photos, but also to stop in at Black Squirrel, where I browsed the shelves and warmed up with a macadamia London Fog. (yum!)
In the end, I didn’t find a new book to read once I finish Casey Plett’s A Safe Girl To Love, but that’s okay. Unless there is an Air Canada strike, Kathleen and I will be headed to Halifax on Saturday and plan to visit many book stores!
As for the photos? It’s nice to be back with a more reliable C-41 development kit, but I can safely say that I was likely more motivated by the prospect of books than of making photos. Less than a third of the way through the roll and I was struggling to find compelling scenes.
