Until last weekend’s Pride week events, I was running out of steam.
It happens every summer as the weeks of heat, sun, and humidity continue. There are only so many photos of lovely flowers and sunny days you can make and only so much greasy sunscreen and sticky sweat you can tolerate. By August, I begin to yearn for a chill in the air.
I’m a fall girl at heart and prefer the warm drinks, cool temperatures, and that its time for boots and cardigans. Very basic, sure. But also very comfortable.

After all of the festivities died down, the Parade’s shortened schedule dissected, and as rainbow colours slowly disappear from the city’s streets (returning the city to a more sedate Beige Mom feel), the temperatures began to drop.
In our home, we shifted into an almost autumn mode, the sweaters and longer lenses came out. Tuesday and Wednesday weren’t entirely inspiring days (photos 1-5 above), but having taken a day off yesterday, I was feeling a whole lot mossier. It must have been the pink cardigan.
