I’ll be honest, I wanted to title this post with some sort of groaner like “Kent Pan This New Film!” Or “No Mere Film”. I thought better of it in the end.
Please clap.
Kathleen and I decided that our Saturday adventure this past weekend would be the Ottawa Retro and Antique Market, held at Next Door, in that little mini mall sort of thing attached to Enriched Bread Artists.
We quite enjoyed the atmosphere and browsing what the sellers had on offer. While I didn’t find anything, Kathleen found some really beautiful Hungarian lace doilies.
Afterward, we proceeded into Hintonburg, stopping to browse in a few shops, including Motif and Maker House (both of which are filled with so many lovely people). While it’s never really open when we pass, I always make sure to give a little “yay!” when we walked by the Ottawa Trans Library too.
After a lovely little lunch at The Third, we picked up some donuts at Suzy Q, a few things at the Hintonburg Market, and — the goal — a focaccia at Bread By Us.
…except they were out.
So we brought a delicious baguette home instead!

As for the film? I quite like it! That’s always a nice thing to come from the first time you use a film.
Development in HC-110 dilution B delivered nice results. Scanning was straightforward and did not work to adjust, and the overall results were quite pleasing. I haven’t always really gotten along with the Kentmere line, but I will definitely keep using it!
