Our walk through Roncesvalles was deliberate. We had just been through for a little browsie-boo on Sunday, after all.
We had one more shopping goal for the day, and that was Little Ghosts Books on Dundas West, so hopping on the Dundas car was a good way to get there. I loaded this roll of film just before we got there!
After four consecutive posts, the Lip Lab was the “one to keep”, but I still haven’t talked about “one [that was] rained out”.
One of our goals for Toronto was to visit a group exhibition called Revisiting Analogue at the Arcadia Gallery. Part of the Contact Photo Festival, one of the exhibitors and I follow each other on Bluesky and I wanted to see his work in person, along with the other photographers.
Being a little less familiar with dining options at the waterfront, we just chose the Amsterdam Brew House for dinner (we both had nice pizzas), with the goal of visiting the festival afterward.
Nature had other plans for us, however.
As we were about half way through our pizzas, the skies opened up.
Rain!
Wind!
And two ladies who weren’t exactly prepared for the possibility of frigid wind and rain.
With no street cars to bring us further west toward the gallery, the choice was to show up soaking wet, or cut the evening a little shorter and head back to the hotel.
We chose the latter.
Nobody needs two soaked, uncomfortable, and awkward tourists hanging out around beautiful artworks!
Kathleen has been blogging about our vacation too!
