An Opportunity To Get Outside and a Test

As of the end of our respective workdays today, Kathleen and I will be on vacation! It’s definitely time for it: we were last away and out of town in September, so we’ve very much been looking forward to it all.

Normally, I bring a Nik(k)o(r)mat EL and a few lenses with me. Nikon’s “Pre-Ai” F-mount lenses (i.e. those manufactured before 1977 and have the little bunny ears) are my favourite ones overall and having aperture priority is always handy.

On Tuesday afternoon, I also decided that I would like to bring the Pentax K2 with me. I’ve always loved using it (save for the film sensitivity ring) and the mid-70s 50mm SMC Pentax (neither -M nor -A) lens I use with it gives me the results I love.

This meant, a final “to-be-sure” test.
