In Search of a Spring Afternoon

Unlike the past few years, spring 2025 has come in fits and starts. While a clean break from winter to spring is welcome, it isn’t exactly normal either. Even if I’d like it to be!

Following the end of my workday on Friday, I decided to take advantage of the sunshine and take a little walk through the neighbourhood. I knew that it was unlikely that I would get out on Saturday (today), as the forecast was calling for rain (which is falling now) and I had a morning appointment to get my brows done.

When I do get out, I nearly always reach for a 50mm lens. I am most comfortable at that focal length and I get a pleasing trade-off of weight and size. With this in mind, I decided that a bit of a longer view would be in order!
