With temperatures forecast above freezing, it looks like the snow is well into the process of disappearing for another season. Of course, we say this every year, during False Spring, but the snow we get from here on out is likely to be a temporary resident, whose stay is likely to be measured in hours or days instead of weeks.

The sun was out yesterday and the high was over 10℃ (50℉), which meant that the sidewalks and roads were bare and dry and more people were out to enjoy the weather. Since it was also a workday (and one that held the prospect of short-notice overtime1), there were many glances out the window and a longing to get outside!

After my normal workday ended, I took a quick walk around the neighbourhood, remaining close, just in case…

Fortunately, my services weren’t needed and I was able to enjoy the afternoon sun!
