For our Saturday Adventure, Kathleen and I decided it had been long enough since we paid a little visit to 613flea, biweekly sort of flea market held at Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne Park. While it’s not too often that we end up buying anything, we were casually on the lookout for a few picture frames and perhaps a pair of bookends.

With comparatively warm weather, we coated up and headed down Elgin Street. While I was loading the film on our way out, Charlie was was standing on Kathleen’s desk making some sort of George Costanza face, which I wanted to make a photo.

Unfortunately, this means I had left the shutter speed at 1/1000 instead of setting it to aperture priority and did not notice as we headed out the door. I should have noticed while looking through the viewfinder, but I tend to hold it back just a little in the winter (cold). The end result? Since I didn’t notice until we made it to Lansdowne, the first 14 frames are, for the most part, very under-exposed.

As flea markets go, when you’re looking for something specific, there is a good chance that you aren’t going to find it: and we sure didn’t!

That’s okay though.

We’ll be back again!
