Since Saturdays are Adventure Days, and Kathleen needed some thread and a zipper for a sewing project, we decided to head out to the Fabricland nestled between Baseline and Merivale. It turns out that there are some fabrics that are a bit of a bear to match up to common thread colours, so this was a bit of a do-over, this time, armed with a small swatch.
And wouldn’t you know it? Success! The right thread, a suitable zipper, and a bottle of dye fixer in hand, and we were out and ready to head back home. As luck would have it, the buses lined up quite well, so there was minimal waiting.
…at least until Billings Bridge, that is. Whenever we get out into the suburbs and use Billings as a transfer point back home, it’s either that a 5 or 6 is waiting, or they’re just left and we have a 25 minute wait. Yesterday’s was the latter and it was in the shade.
With a solid footing into February, we’re beginning to get a little more sun. A sunshine that you can feel. We’re truly on our way into a bit of warmth.
