
It happens!
More often than I’d like it to.
Especially when the weather’s somewhat hostile to my fingers.
Inspiration doesn’t come, but I’d like to make photos anyway.
A bit like Kevin McDonald’s The Heavy Pen, it’s most likely that I will choose to load a roll anyway and, well, photograph through it! (“Shoot what you know!”)
Much of the time, I will get at least something I like. Perhaps an interesting frame or two. Other times, I will expose and develop an entire roll and, well, the example above is what I have.
I know that some would just dispose of these rolls. They’re not worth keeping, so why have them around? I actually keep them. They’re still scanned and catalogued and placed in a sheet along with those rolls that have at least a few nice frames.
What I don’t usually do is share them. In that way, they do not usually see the light of day.
