Sunday’s gift was a brief affair with the sun’s rays.
As is custom, this meant that is was also cold. In fact, we went from a high of +2C/~35F and rain on Saturday down to -15C/5F this morning when we went out for our usual Sunday errand running walk. Our lil’ local loop was a chilly one!
To compensate for this, I decided that the little-better-than-plastic-fantastic-but-still-plastic Elan II would be the camera that dangled around my neck over my very warm parka. Auto focus and auto exposure in a shell that won’t cause frostbite meant that my always-cold cold hands would stay well-mittened while I attempted to commit the currently rare effect of the sun’s rays to a popular Czech-made film.
As promised, the light was glorious, and the convenient short roll of 18 frames was just enough to ensure I got a little creativity in while not getting too cold!
