While last week’s Saturday Adventure was cut short by cold, at least we did get out and about.
There is only one weather condition, however, that reliably cuts it down almost entirely. And that’s rain. It’s a bit of a mixture really, I don’t like being all wet outside and as a devotee of winter woollens, well, words like “drowned rat” have escaped my lips.
It also doesn’t help that my love for older cameras does cause me to baby them. Just a little.
Suffice to say, we had planned to take a nice walk through the Glebe and to Lansdowne. A little change of scenery, as we haven’t been since …mid-November?
Unfortunately, the moment we got outside, we noticed something unwanted: light rain. I think I also sort of woke up and put my cranky pants on because it put me into a bit of a mood, so a bit like a stubborn mule, I declared that I was no longer interested in the walk we had planned for and that I’d just go get the groceries instead.
Hopefully the temperatures begin to keep a healthier distance below zero.
Snow is a delight, rain is a fright!
