After three years of hemms, haws, and hesitation, back on September 26, I developed my first roll of film. While it sure wasn’t perfect, it was promising! And fun! And magical! It turns that I found it as magical as the very encouraging #BelieveInFilm community said.

Motivated by a mixture of feelings that are as much encouragement as anxiety, I decided that if I were to be able to do this, I’d have to practice.

A whole lot.

Just over 50 days after that first promising roll, I developed my 50th roll yesterday. While it’s nothing to write home about in content (and it was a bit overdeveloped – ID-11 and HP5 seems to get away from me a bit), I feel like I now have a good baseline and have been developing a bit of muscle memory to boot!
