A First Time For Everything

After far too much fearful hesitation, I made today the day to develop my own film. Wanting to begin with the basics, I chose the combination of Ilford HP5+ and Ilfosol 3.

Experiencing the magic of pulling the film from the tank was truly a delight! I was so excited that it was photos I saw and not disappointment. I definitely have much to learn here, but this was the encouragement I needed.

The photo above was the first made. It only seems fitting that it’s first out there.
